In the spring, I photographed a creative conference at Harding University call STORY University (that post HERE). Well, this fall I was asked to help photograph the national STORY conference in Nashville. I started the conference by running all over the place trying to get every angle of each speaker but soon realized I was wearing myself down too much. There were also five other photographers working the event with me, so about halfway through the day I decided to approach the way I documented the conference a bit differently than I typically would. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to push myself to get creative with the way I captured the day. I figured there were plenty of other photographers getting all the angles from the front of the stage, so I did a lot of wandering. I found my sweet spot backstage.
